Pleased to meet myself

Q

Oh sweet bitter pain

how I loathe you.

my memories are a stain

my soul a new hue.

chasing what I once was

i have forgotten myself.

forget the past and forget the buzz,

And stop putting my needs on the shelf.

I am a new version of me,

the old with a new heart,

i must find myself to be free,

should have done that from the start.

Nice piece. I enjoyed this one. It’s easy to lose sight of ourselves when looking in the rear view mirror. Thank you for sharing.
