Thalassophobia (HAIKU)

niallprideaux

I hate deep water.

The darkness and everything,

It scares me to death.

I would drown before I learnt the word. I would need to yell out - Help, I got thalass-wotsit! lol. A fine write N.

      Haha thanks 🙂

Yep - a guy, or gal, could drown, by the time they've learnt that word. Throw them a dictionary, not a life-belt! lol.

Great Haiku Niall, could it also mean fear of deep commitment, fear of deep love?

I feel it relates more to a memory, I nearly drowned in a pool when I was 9 and had a really horrible dream about it recently

You've made a nice Haiku from your fear! My son is the same way, but unsure where it comes from. I hate you had the trauma!

Aw thank you! It's not fun haha, I can't watch some deep sea documentaries without getting anxiety

That's me with medical shows and anything involving car accidents. I lost some people too early, and when I was sixteen watched my mom being extricated from a serious car accident. That stuff is for real.
