Love lost?

Moonflower15

An old Flame, An old life,

What ifs flicker and dance in the moonlight,

A passionate affair, young lovers torn apart,

Life’s course was not strayed for matters of the heart,

Memories and joys romanticized through the years…

Could one different choice have saved me so many tears?

Time marched on and here we are…

Still drawn together from afar…

The memory of you enthralls me like a warm embrace,

Lost in the bliss of our history, and loves grace,

I ponder the questions that flood into my mind,

Is our story really over? I guess we will only know with time…

Beautiful piece. I love how it was so mysterious. Were the memories just romanticized? Was it real love? Very real and raw piece. I can definitely relate to this. Thanks for sharing.
