Remarkable

Taylor Rhea

Looking back on all the lies you told me, I realized.

How could you love me, when I don't love myself?

Sure, the memories and meaningless promises taste like vinegar now, but you were once my favorite thing to taste. Mint, and aftershave, mixed with the smell of rye if you didn't take a shower after leaving the fields. You and I mixed together like something bonded over with some sort of fate.

Now we are two opposing forces. The thought of what you've done and what you will do makes me involuntary nauseated. You left a permanent mark on my body and mind, while my mark on you, was rather removable.
