Dear me,
One day he called you beautiful
Because he wanted his way
He sat and stroked your hair
And said your his world
He told you life which he had lived
Told you things he trusted you with
And made you fell on top of the world.
You fell in love like never before
Even though it was just a short time
He made your life feel very worth while.
Your confidence grew day by day
It was always something that got in the way
But then you said those three words
And from that day things did change
He had got his way.
He met overs behind your back
And you let it be okay
He would sit and say your ugly
You believed every word
He would knock you down piece by piece
Fast and alot
Nevermind little by little
You would sit home and cry
It was you who did wrong
Your the idiot
You'd never be enough
This is what you deserve
The words you told yourself
The words that fizzed around your head
He had you where he wanted
He had control
And then he met someone else
And put you aside
Your heart shrivelled with pain
Your head confused and angered
Why did you deserve this.
Every mirror caused you horror
Digust and sadness
Was your nose to big
You questioned everything.
But in the end the pain turned cold
And even though your confidence doesn't exist
Heres a message to you
You are beautiful
Inside and out
Just like everyone else
Ugly is the person with an ugly heart.

The best works of art tend to come from the most personal situations. I enjoyed this one. I know many women that either have struggled or are currently struggling with this. I’d say this was a timely piece and a job well done. Thanks for sharing

And yes while is mostly women who suffer.. I always know men who have also been through it. People can be very cruel!
That's raw power there, never let that fire go out. You've given me a glimpse of what my mum's life has been like for over twenty years and continues. I hope some how this could reach her but at least it did me, thank you with all my heart.

I have moved on and found Some one who treats me right.. but the past haunts you forever. I still feel the pain.
