Awakening

b-LAH-que

Thinking of what life was like
Before I was awake
Before I held my head to feel the burden of a life to make
Didn’t notice things I’d seen
So bright, the dark stood out to me
In light, cant reach far out to me
Not so far as my dreams

And never far enough for me to feel from where you speak
To even lift these eyelids, I am far too weak
From journeys adolescence bears
I rest in childish inner peace
Before I learn just where I’m meant to be
I’ll need my energy

So until my life ahead of me my waking eyes do finally see
And the manifest of all the things I’ve made it meant to be
Then all come at me readily
And from them I scream,
I’ll feel heavenly
Too deep asleep to not have dreams

As I find that inner peace
And gaze upon unworldly scenes
A wish to never fall asleep
Is one to never wake from dreams
