Persona's Reign

Nathan Fairchild

Disguised is this persona on display

Which covers the flawed reality

Of the self which is led astray

From the truth of such malady

Revealing that which can't be seen

For there is nothing like perfection

These colors fade in the open green

Projected are feelings of affection

Blind are the ways of the heart

Love can see through the facade

Among everything that we are apart

We are only as great as the applaud

Which we can only give ourselves

This distance traverses all time

Throughout all disguise it delves

Into pocketed feelings so sublime

Thus ending the personas reign
