The Storm

Asian_Hobbit

It's so dark outside as I peek at the window,
The crotons in a row are swaying like crazy.
The light is on and I saw a shadow...
It's moving fast cos the heavy rains is on its way.

He turned off the aircondition system,
When he noticed that it started to rain.
He opened the windows and doors around him,
But not the openings that has a nylon screen.

It feels chilly as I hear the wind whistling sound,
The neighbors house are banging all around.
The dogs are barking, I know they're scared,
Hope their master will transfer them soon.
In their living room where they can't hear the thunderstorm.

I am thinking, lucky me I will not starve to death.
If we will stay inside this house for a week,
There are lots of foods to eat and inside the ref.
There is first aide and medicine if I get sick.

But those needy people outside,
Who are living under the bridge and in a sidewalk.
Those who live in "trisikad and kariton"
These people I always saw in my country,
But there's a few here in Taiwan, but they're not plenty.
I worried they will get wet and hungry,
I worried they will get sick and no place to sleep.
These thoughts made me weep.
I made myself strong,
And sometimes my heart harden like a stone.
I acted cold and dry,
But the fact is I always cry.
