Sweet Manic High

Poetry_Of_The_Unknown

This mania has me atop these ruffled clouds.
My mind races with excitement.
Optimism floods my senses...
A sigh of relief escapes my lips.
I no longer have to release a plume of smoke,
Synthesizing the beauty of these clouds.
My receptors no longer need to be tampered with.
This feeling is actually at my finger tips.
Not created by a drug filled pipe.
This euphoria is untouchable.
I feel unbreakable.
I love you mania,
Please stay...
Don't fade.
Don't push me to the dark depths I have just crawled out of.
Allow me to absorb this beautiful world
Through these refreshed eyes.

Your lines aptly describe the indescribable "bliss" of the "bi", in this case, the high that your brain chemistry allows you to experience. My son suffers the same. The problem is when the "bi" involves the low, the depression...NAMI is a great resource and opportunity to make many friends with those struggling with mental illness.
