Keep starving.
Ed says while he's carving,
My name into my grave.
Crave,
Postpone this meal
And keep your lips sealed.
No one can know,
Until your bones start to show.
Keep eating! Doesn't it taste so good?
You're eating more than you should.
Purge,
I'm now giving you the urge.
That's right,
Hurl up all your progress,
Curl up next to the toilet and start the process.
I'm your only friend now.
I'm the only person I'll let you allow.
I'll make you pretty, I'll make you thin.
Have you remembered to measure your shin?
Lips so chapped, skin so dry.
Eyes so sunken in, it hurts to cry.
Here comes the lanugo,
Your heart is experiencing ritenuto.
You're so cold,
You weren't at all bold.
Being skinny was your only priority
And you had no interest in getting meliority.

- Comment from author about the poem: I have been struggling with anorexia and bulimia for a long time now, and writing this poem was very hard to do. But I'm glad I did.
