Forwards In Return.

kevin browne

Intimate with time falling down faster than any man could ever do
Envelopes sent have been filled with something other than for you
A remedy for danger collapsed the support failed some time ago
And a building glued together pulled apart the burning rage of fire
Watching faces hidden in the dark spying on what we never show
Lifting hearts from below when cupid stuck his foot to the floor
An emphatic memory used to be the forever glimpse of stardom
And in standing on a stone built of gold wears on the human thinly
Watches ticking and could tell beauty but had to fit a second hand
Forwards in return for helping those disasters to brighten up a little
Diamonds cut for visions in the eye which bled away all the truth
Bargaining for some bartering services capable of earning a life
That living is a gift for who knows when the guilty party may turn up
Erasing the knowledge for greed to take in the hostages of wealth
Kisses to the moon when it smiled down on this lonely heart street
Trusting in something as solid as anything that can melt down into
Carnival bombs exploding with limbs from every corner on Earth
Sorrowed by the design we created intensified the enemy within
A life is lost a life is born a mother has shown her love once again
Cradlings cry for protection before the helter skelter in the skies
Another meeting another time maybe? let's start another crime
Goodbye for tomorrow when a plane is lost somewhere in the sea
Facts say it's true but whenever it was wrong someone else will do
Flutter on a horse leg when in fact it nearly broke the horse in two
Dreams close enough here to raise the heart a million beats a day
And when you touch the forest tree it can burn a fire deep in hope
Live it as you see it when the next one that goes could be you.

Kevin, they are all good lines, but the last one spoke to me real loud. Thank you for so much food for thought!

Yes Kevin time really falls fast and as this engaging piece of prose outlines we need to fit a second hand forward to help things brighten a little at times - - a deeply affecting read.
