Slithering with snakes

Lena_V

You don't walk like the rest of us

With the rest of us

Neither do you bend to society's rules

Choosing to live outside

This norm-built cage

You've never been kissed

Then you say:

"There's more to life than love"

Yet someone took your innocence away

I'd drown in your dark, fathomless eyes

When you look at me with that emotion

I cannot define

Oh, it makes me feel so alive

Hook, line and sinker

But I see you darling

The shade of your yellow tinted skin matches mine

Take away my scars

I hear a hiss in the dark

"Let me eat the skin you have shed"

Now that I've tasted your lips

Now I know

"This is how people get addicted"

Hook, line and sinker

My eyes are still emerald green

Though I'll try slithering with snakes

In the meantime
