Dear Love,

merabelle

You are the existence of every jewel in my dark skies. Every ounce of love and pain I drip is dedicated to you. Without you I am just an empty hourglass locked in the timeless spell of loneliness. You taught me how to be fearless in times I had only you to fear. Your powerful tongue broke every hate filled bone in my body. You and only you can make hurt feel so real. You poisoned my every thought and now you haunt my every dream. To be alive is to feel your venom. To be in love is to feel your punch. I am not broken by you, I am found. I am the molding clay under your fingernails. I am the very person you shaped me to be. I kiss every bruise on my heart and wait for your damage. This is love. This is sacrifice. Your every breath feeds mine, while you've been stealing them all along. This is how you control me. You take everything from me and you call it love. Love is beautiful, love is pain. Love is unexplainable, love is dangerous. When you let the cookie love crumble, you are drowned in an endless milk heartbreak. You are my stars, skies and laughter. But you are also the cold lonely nights, and blackened lungs of my disaster. You bring me warmth while feeding me a bitter taste of depression. I crave the way you destroy me with every touch. You make the blood in my mouth taste like cotton candy. You make my broken bones feel like a sugar rush. You make every lie sound like a lullaby, and you make every heartache worthwhile. This is love. Masking the bad with the good. Demanding to be felt. Drowning us all in the sticky false hope that it'll be different this time, he will be different this time. But love is just a devil in disguise.

Written from the heart. Yes, love can be painful, but it can also be beautiful. And sometimes we have no choice but to walk away.
