A Daffodil Smiling In Yellow.

kevin browne

With a petal in a hand there floats by another dream in motion
Meandering in a thoughtful place created for just only the lonely
Staircase creep with spiralling waves of all the flowered emotion
Hearing whispers through the ghosts of the intimate Ouija board
Where the walks are swift and bright filled with morning afterglow
Then once swimming in the sea brought the childhood memory in
Deepest reflections mirrored only on the smooth surface of love
The steps of each castle which told the dungeons to redecorate
Lake edges with Lavender leaving aroma left behind for lovers
With a daffodil smiling in yellow and a face fitting for a charmer
And misty moons swooned with the stars that danced into life
Cinderella lost her frog that day when midnight turned into Prince
Forced by nature showing how to caress a very loving lady
When a candle flickers in the dark it lights up a golden wonder
Sitting in the farmhouse where laying in the hay became an affair
Still at school one day when a teacher said it is whatever you do
For the table turns the Earth upside down and a butterfly cries
Buttered with the cream of hope smearing these silly old hearts
Empty barrels filled with old lovers kissing down old lovers lane
A hand can hold a bright red rose and the stunning art of giving
Because when a thistle is a symbol and for many a reason why
Enchanted scenes of karma sutra flowing blood vessel smooching
Mouths tasting so much sweeter than wine could ever intoxicate
And in forever staying together for that is how God had it written
Being blessed with a gift in being able to reach up to the sky
Sunshine shifts over hidden clouds so blue with raindrop tears
And the atmospheres together filled up with champagne glass
When wedding bells turn rusty with another ring that was lost
A happy ever after sits and waits for the heat to raise a roof
Two hearts together beating with the force of everything to come
Settle down in comfy zone loving partners start a loving life
It's a love worth waiting for rather than spending a life all alone
Cuddle up with someone who loves you with I always told ya so.

Kevin, there is a gentle softness in so many of these lines.

"With a petal in a hand there floats by another dream in motion
Meandering in a thoughtful place created for just only the lonely
Staircase creep with spiralling waves of all the flowered emotion"

"Lake edges with Lavender leaving aroma left behind for lovers
With a daffodil smiling in yellow and a face fitting for a charmer
And misty moons swooned with the stars that danced into life"

    So, so lovely.

I like that you softened a bit your writing and agree with Heather and Fred; a lot of this poem is about love. Heather wrote a poem from your poem. Beautiful sayings Kevin.
