Swinging

The 2 A.M Writer

Well do you ever wonder about the great beyond?

And by beyond, I mean beyond the sun

Does your little head ever leave the quiet Midwest?

Fuck the farms and to hell with the pests

Well if you've ever known me

I'm gonna keep swinging in my head

And it'll always be that way

Right up until I end up dead

Smoke the good stuff and run in the street

These times we will remember, can't be beat

Good vibes to you all, as I go and cry

But it's all okay, this is every other night

And if you've ever seen me

You know I'll keep swinging in my head

Till I end up puking on the porch

Life isn't something you should dread

I could care less with you do with your time

Stay at home, or ride the 5 to 9

I just hope you know I'll never change

And honestly, who is it that we really blame?

And for the final time you see me

You know I'm still swinging in my head

And through all the times I've tried

I know it's too early to be dead

...
