So far deep down with a pearl sat upon the mermaids lap
That so high up Jack fell down and broke his back on a beanstalk
Rolling up the beach are the storms of stones shaped perfectly
Through the ages of time distance just seemed faster and faster
And when a star began to shine the neighbouring galaxy felt it
Gravity pulling on a heart tears apart the world living like a stray
Hoping here on Earth will still blossom the extinctions into life
For forever never lasts out the testing on a soul that committed it
Waxworks moulded into fools looking like a dysfunctional marriage
Balloons filled with helium just laughed at the sky when rain fell
Laying on the green encounters those hissing snakes in the grass
Oil was dripping from a pocket one day when the engine blew up
Islands left behind a love that shone with footprints in the sand
Welcoming dainty ideas are open towards the openness of genius
Shining knights in glittering armour fell short of winning on a horse
Then a glove made unfitting for the hand of God who missed it all
Shells in the fossils placed bits here and there for all to pick apart
Wondering alone on mountain tops caught colds with emptiness in
Sometimes never realised a mistake can be built upon a blessing
Having a drink of despair sitting down by the riverside drowning
Flirting with a thought which caught many a good damn soul on fire
As such ruthless demises won the day of reckoning the worst role
Floundering emotions stepped away from the sentiments it found
Superman superseded superfluously the x-ray visions in his eyes
Evil gruelling up the rotten side to someone's hopes and dreams
For being content with merciful surroundings living life in totality
Measured by faults the distance far exceeds it in all our beliefs
Shallowed fun screams delight from the explanations of teasing
That when darkness falls the light goes off and we begin again.

Well written and expressed
hello, Tony36 and thanks to my friend.
Welcome
Great flowing style you have Kevin!
thank you for calling in and leaving a lovely comment WriteBeLight.
🙂 My pleasure, Kevin!
Deeply felt this pearl Kevin - my favourite piece is contained in the line - - Sometimes never realised a mistake can be built upon a blessing - -- I wholly agree and thanks for sharing.
Lovely YumnaKay loved that line also. great minds and all that but thank you so much for your wonderful comments.
Great writing again Kevin, I guess you know by now that I do read every line, sometimes more than once! You start with a 'pearl', and there are too many of them in this poem to mention individually.
that's just too kind FredPeyer but well appreciated.
