Flawed Paradigm

Flawed Paradigm

An extremist interpretation of the Islamic religion

To Martyr himself to glory is his disposition

His attitude of contempt toward the effeminate

Is the social paradigm which he represents

Majestically martyring himself to paradise in heaven

The innocent lives taken with him were twenty-seven

He stands at the gates of heaven, humble and unshod

Waiting to come face to face with God

His God, will he worship, glorify and Hail?

When he discovers that God is a Female?

Well, he shall have to meet with God, as we all shall. But I fear he will end up in the 'other place'. A fine write.

I'd like to see the look on that monster's face when he finds out things aren't as he thought. The irony of it all.

Brilliant, mind-provoking poem, N.Q. Isn't amazing how adopting a religious doctrine without employing logic or questioning can produce and justify such insane behavior? Well done poem, sir!

Louis, Thank you for your kind words. It is insane how many people throughout time have killed or have been killed in the name of religion.

Great twist. You touch on a very difficult topic so very well and with such class!
