Running

SheWasTheSun

Run like the tears racing down your cheeks

Run like the faucet with its unfixed leak

Run for the hills, run like the wind

Run until you trip, get up with knees skinned

Run hard and run fast

Run far from the past

Run like there’s no tomorrow

Run until you’re numb to sorrow

Run like you mean it, run like hell

Run till you can’t see it, till you can’t hear them yell

Run like your nose in the sweet, bitter cold

Run until your knees buckle, run until you fold

Run until your legs give way

Run like you’re a runaway

Run for those who tried to leave

Run for the hopelessly naive

Run your tired, weary mouth

Run it till the empty words run out

Run till your face hits the cold, hard floor

Get right back up and run some more

Run wild, child

Run the miles, smile

Run around, run about

Run your reckless heart out

Running gets you somewhere

Running gets you out of there

So run although your feet are sore

Run until there's something more

Run forever if you must

Run, and leave them in the dust
