Uncontrollable

poetboy123

Time a cage, encircling us endlessly

Sailing us away from the storms and eventually away from the sunrise

Love a double-edged blade, cursed and sought

Bringing both the happiest of moments and ripping them away

Death a kiss, bitterness in its frozen breath

Releasing the broken and lost and tearing away broken hearts

All uncontrollable, beyond a human’s will

Around us our worlds' grow and fall apart

Let the darkness and light finally settle and join

The chaos, order, war, peace, love, hate, life and death

Time may be our captor

Love may twist our heart

Death may bring our ends

Yet we control ourselves, and that is all we need
