loosely wearing,

a dress made of night.

all down her back,

buttons of star-light.

luminous moonlight

shines on her face,

highlights her features

a silhouette of grace.

contours, exotic

feminine wiles,

hidden behind

winsome smiles.

secretive nature

deceptive eyes,

concealing a cache...

of unspoken lies.

splendor about her,

skin soft as cream.

it's really a shame,

she isn't all she would seem!

I think I know that lady ... or is it, ladies? They all seem to run together in my fading memory. A well done descriptive poem of a disappointing false front, Cat! We've all met them.

      • Candlewitch

        dear Louis,

it is a shame you have been a victim to this type of woman. may you have no more of them!
