The Milnrownian Candidate

Likely Lad

A pretty face
A mask for malice
A twisted tale
A bitter end

You meant the world
Now you mean nothing

To think I could change you
That I was the one
I could change nothing
You proved me wrong

You meant the world
Now you mean nothing

You tried to kill me
You almost did
When things got tough
You ran and hid

You meant the world
Now you mean nothing

You wouldn't fight for it
You let it die
I tried hard for nothing
I'll no longer cry

You meant the world

I clearly meant nothing.

I loved the ending to your poem, it emphasizes the point you're trying to get across. But this is an amazing poem!
