Alone in your head

roudan

I wanna fall in love with you
But like always you making things hard.
I know I could love you
If you'd lower your guard

So I start believing the only thing that’s true
Just a small secret growing bigger
Is your fear of knowing you could love me too?
Even if true, don't pull the trigger.

I know we’re really far apart
But what is distance on this planet
We should stop waiting to depart
When arrival is our only asset.

We’re constantly fighting our fears
Black armed dots waiting in line
Love shouldn’t be just heartache and tears
Can we please stop calling it crime?

The sound will become stronger and louder
The weight of the word will pull down on the line,
The dots will start fighting much harder
Against the very notion of time!

We’re denying a purpose inflicted on us,
Fishermen without oceans and boats.
Come one lets stop time! Do not let it pass!
We should watch and learn from the dots.

I know it sounds crazy but trust me my dear
Everything that we hoped for, will become real
I know you can’t see me but feel me I'm here
I am the wounds you are trying to heal

I am the dream taking over your nightmare
You didn’t expect me to be something good
Piece back the spoils of your decadent share
Come back to the place where once, together we stood.

Sometimes it takes a lot to convince somebody that what they need is standing right in front of them.
    Nice poem!

What I get from this poem is; I feel like it can represent society and how us as a society have lost connection/feeling with one another. We have strayed away from our true purpose on this planet. It can also represent being disconnected with yourself and the internal battle of not accepting you for you.
