Rising From Despair

poetboy5454

Bellowing a subtle breeze

Looking, but he doesn't see

Blades of grass blowing

Answers found, not worth knowing

River flowing, deep and true

Chained and grounded, he once flew

Brilliant ocean sparkling, day and night

Desperately searching for what's right

Candle's glow brushing over the wall

Bathed in the shadows, he lost it all

Flame dancing over the trees

His heart had forgotten, frozen on his knees

Storm clouds gather, their thunder growls

Silence answers, wearing a tattered cowl

Raindrops plummet down to the Earth

Drowning and lost, empty of mirth

A single ray of light peeks through

Past the darkness, he begins anew
