Future Love

dangerdave89

I don't want to meet you because of an app.

I want to meet you because of a smile.

I don't wanna watch a movie with you.

Let's watch the solar eclipse.

I don't need your Instagram, Snapchat or Facebook.

I need you.

Here.

Now.

We better make this happen soon,
But not tonight.

Never tonight because that would be real.

That's now. So we'll settle for later.

That's present. So we'll settle for safe.

That's human. So we'll settle for less.

I wanna be together but we're manufactured for alone.

I guess I just wanted to say I'm here.
Is anyone else alive?

  • Comment from author about the poem: Not really about a specific someone. Just an overall review of my dating experience in this generation. Future love has so many meanings. Enjoy
