Sutured

Baylee

Flashes

of the past

still haunt me

As you continue to love me

more than he ever did

Sometimes

I see

not your face

But the one of

an old, poisonous love

Even now

he insists on

casting a shadow

over my sutured heart.

Many "sutured hearts" out there in today's culture Nicole. Fortunately, most will heal but what a price to pay! Check out the Cor Project (Christopher West). Keep writing my friend.
