Heaven’s Stage

By Accidental Poet

You were to many a fan

A Country Boy

A Wichita Lineman

Even a Rhinestone Cowboy

You left Galveston

To Try a Little Kindness

By the Time You got to Phoenix

You overlooked the blindness

You sang of my Dream Baby

The truest love I could weave

But for me it wasn’t

Only Make Believe

A man of True Grit

And always Gentle On my Mind

You’ll be long remembered as

One of a kind

The Last Time I Saw you

On your face the pride I could borrow

  As Heaven welcomes you home

Pave Your Way Into Tomorrow

And when you’re on Heaven’s stage

Playing your guitar

Sing all your songs

That made you a star

For your fans are wide spread

Between Heaven and Earth

Rest assured all your fans

Know your endless worth

Thanks AP ~ I am a great fan of Country music and was at the OPRY for Chris Krisstopherson's tribute to Johnny Cash IN 2003 ! Glen Campbell is a great Blessing to County Music ~ which is the Music of Heaven so he will really feel at Home up there with Jim Reeves ~ Johnny Cash etc ! Thanks for sharing & caring ~ BRIAN

Wonderful job and tribute. I loved him in True Grit. Was sad when I heard the news yesterday.
