It's the one's that have the deepest scars
That have the purest and caring hearts,
It's all because of their hard Journey in Life
How those slow healing bruises got their start.
For they have extreme heartburn from tasting pain
Misery in their Soul that can't find it's way out,
So they know what it's like to live in suffering
That complete helplessness that's heightened by doubt.
So they fight their battle with unconditional love
That only medicine that gives them some relief,
That shoulder to cry on or a proud helping hand
For that precious individual that has no belief.
For the kindness and goodwill that they freely do give
Helps douse the carnage in two fighting hearts at war,
So that those deepest scars can start to heal
And so the one down on his luck can rise up and soar.

Ok
Your fine poem describes the heart of the poet quite well. We do tend to feel more deeply than most it seems. Such is the blessing and the curse. Welcome to MPS, Scott!
