Cheer Up, It Ain't So Bad

Thoff1

Time went by but I don't remember.

I really do miss last September,

Everything was where it was suppose to be.

I had every member of my family.

Why did it have to be this way?

I had time to waste but no time to play.

I feel younger but I also feel I'm loosing time,

You tried so hard to clean the dirt and grime.

It won't come off without facing reality.

Sitting and hiding, filled with pain and agony.

A friend of life is a friend of mine.

Don't use any more time to pout and whine.

Your bad days are only the most beautiful of dreams for some.

So get up and dance, bang on a drum,

Be happy, because in life you've one.

Even when I'm gone make sure to have fun.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem was inspired by the passing of my grandmother and other events that haven't gone my way recently. It's about coming to terms with your sadness and realizing how good you have it in life.

Life without challenge is boring, isn't it? You have a good start, so keep going, have as much fun as you could. Nice writing.
