Help Me

NOX

I need something I can stay on top of instead of underneath.
Something I choose to breathe instead of the thing that inhales me.

Something I can commit to.
That induces tunnel vision so I'm blind to the mud and the blood and the fog that coats the peripherals of my mind.

I want to scream, "HELP ME."
But I don't want anyone to hear.
I want them to know instinctively.

I'm a bird flying into the same glass window repeatedly
and I want someone to be the window, padded with styrofoam, so I don't have to break another bone

Because I'm scared one day it will be the last one I own.

Turn yourself to the Savior. Listening to the guide, following the lead. Well done.

So well written, NOX. You were all alone in the woods, crying for help.....nobody there.
Now you are here. And we read and listen!
