Eternal Facade

Our past is painted as a sunrise

A series of continuing lies

Brainwashed to accept an insane history

Its very existence remains a mystery

 

Hollow men raised upon stole pillars

Truth of their lives now razed to cinders

Still sending out innocent men to die

Waging wars that have no alibi

Dressing up their deaths with false honor

False meaning given so we won't deter

For they feel no pain for the lives they throw away

Honest people unable to live their stolen days

 

Controlled by those seeking for greed

Insatiable avarice for them to feed

Tearing apart our world piece by piece

Millions set to die, yet it doesn't cease

The sun's heat grows along with our fury

Even if you refuse to believe me

Reach beyond just what we're taught

Link yourself to this world that rots

 

Implement the future you want to see

Realize the higher need to be free

Understand that we're all apart of humanity

Nothing is as it may appear to be

 

It is as Shakespeare said, this world is a stage

Each of us has our roles, we can write this next page

Fight for your future, or be the next to fall

Stand against adversaries,  or you'll choose to crawl

 

Being a good person is no longer enough

Time inching every closer, time to step up

Don't live your life, forgetting those elsewhere

There are bigger goals for you out there

Will you live as human and as a fraud?
