Drained

gina~

I noticed

my shadow slimmer

since my darkness

lightened

When I began to

treat myself

as if I were the earth,

I gave myself

the chance

To cleanse myself

of dirty water,

the cleaner

the water

the fewer

the leaches.

I sense an awakening of spirit here. Well expressed, Gina!

Beautifully written, Gina! I love the first stanza, the way you described the lifting of darkness. Made me think that we all should go through this cleansing every so often, not only clean the dirty water, but get rid of excess baggage as well.

Your write clearly outlines the need for allowing time and chance to be cleansed so light will flow better after shadows depart. Good short-line form for slowing the read. Well done Gina.
