I'll be Here

Brie

I'll be here

Sitting in my room, with my nose in a book

If you need me,

Don't knock

Don't call

Just come to me

I'll be here

Writing in my journal, with licorice in my mouth

If you're crying, and you need a shoulder,

Don't knock

Don't call

Just come to me

I'll be here

No one is truly ever alone, are they?

Yes, it's true not everyone is there for me

And I can't be there for everyone

But for you, I'll be here

Brie, thank you for a beautiful poem on how we should live! How often do we use the excuse 'no time' instead of being there for somebody who truly needs us.
