Azura Nightsong

Stained Glass Wings

Blood and sweat and concentration
Energy poured into one goal
Must make my mark upon this dimension
Tending my soul in the hopes it will bloom
Feathers rain around my eyes
But never fall where I want
Need to find an alternate substance
To lift my spirit high above
So for now I have to settle
On stained glass wings

I linger upon the doorstep
Paranoia setting in
But I push the shadows behind me
And journey through several horizons
Yet still there is a gap
Struggling I vain to find what I have missed
But all I do is lose my breath
Drowning in a thousand impressions
Awakening shattering the fragile bones
Of my stained glass wings
