For my daughter aged 7

Pollythepoet

To my girl that grew and grew

Who taught me things I never knew

About how good it can be

To spend some time with family

The laughs we have the smiles you make

And that parenthood is about give and take

I'll always be here whether you need me or not

Because I am your dad and I love you a lot

And as you grow older you bring more sass

And at times I want to kick your...

Ask me a question, I'll answer if I can

I have you to thank for the proud man that I am

Years pass by and moments pass

The joy I feel when I see my little lass

You're amazing you're beautiful you're growing so fast

The next set of teeth will be there longer, I promise they'll last

The things you do because you are you

I see in myself, because I am you

Keep working hard, be good and kind

And life will be great and that you will find

I'll be the bricks and you be the mortar

Here for you always my dearest daughter
