Mysterious Pain

jonnyc1

Yesterday's shadow blinds me from life
Cut so deep, looking for the knife
Seconds today spent on years ago
A fainted pain always seems to grow
Still gone in silence as a child is lost
Staring at an empty bottle counting the cost
Blinded by a sun that shines for others
Wishing to be in the arms of a forgotten mother
I see in the eyes of them what I never did
Manic enough to be found on the grid
Dead underneath, too paralyzed to walk
Looking from the dark for someone to talk
