Oh please just let it rain

Eduanf

20 and dealing with depression
I wish it was just a phase like fashion
But instead every other day im just crashin
Looking for a place to just cool down and listen
To these thoughts going through my mind
But peace I can't seem to find

Dealing with everyones bullshit
Got me trippin
Everyone seems so normal compared
To these thoughts that just keep happenin
Should I jump or just let it slide?
I ain't looking for a reason to hide
But it seems like no one is gonna go search and find

They say think of the happy thoughts
And look past these times of droughts
But the dams are empty
No rain falling even though these clouds are plenty.

Weatherman what's your forecast?
Sunshine or rain?
Oh Please don't let these days stay the same.
Let me be happy once again
Oh please just let it rain

well written. Man I know this tune. I understand your write so well my friend. Which is how I came to write my latest entry here called "Stinkin' Thinkin'". I hope you'll take a look. I pray you'll soon be drenched in happiness and content. Have a great day.

The last lines hit pretty hard. I'm 21 myself, and I've been here. Writing is the only way I know how to cope with my insecurities. You've done well, so keep it up. Let it rain.

Depression seems to be rampant among your age group, Eduanf. A sign of the times I suppose. You expressed it very well in your poem! Welcome to MPS, and I look forward to more of your poetry.
