Eduanf

I see bodies on the floor
I see people yelling for more
I see other people yelling for no more

I see people fighting for equal rights
I see people initiating fist fights
I see people holding lamps and lights

I don't want to see no more
All these people seem to have no remorse
Don't they know we all came from the same different source?

I pray for a day that we all could be seen as one
A day when all of these troubles will be overcome
I pray to not see no more.

  • Comment from author about the poem: After seeing a video on the internet about what happened at Charlottesville my heart sank into pieces even though im sitting over here in South Afirca. My prayers are with all of the residents and those who got harmed.

I agree with you. If people could see that we're all just humans, and that greed doesn't really get you that far, we could do so much more. Thanks for this.

Brilliant line; "Don't they know we all came from the same different source?" Your poem reflects the sentiment shared by all who witnessed that sad scene, Eduanf. Well done!

The paradise has long gone. Human are the only species on this Earth digging tomb for themselves.
