With one foot in front of the other,
Every motion is a choice,
Sometimes for good,
Love is one of those good choices.
But make a wrong turn and it could be all over,
It's hard to see at first,
Best to have that one special person,
To help you stick it through,
Once you make that wrong turn,
It's easy to turn around,
But you might find yourself alone.

A nice fragment of a whole philosophy that I would enjoy to see more of. Keep it up.
Any suggestions on how to continue? Made this one back in high school years ago. Lately i write more stories then poems.
You could elaborate on how love is one of the good steps that we, as humans, take. You could also incorporate the fact that sometimes we end up alone because of our decisions.
Hmm good suggestions I'll think on this and see what i come up with. Thanks for the suggestion... Tonight i am debating about making a political story based on how everyone is human and race doesn't change who we are as human only how we get raised.
The color of our skin changes a lot of irrelevant things. Somewhere down the line, humans will learn to face a great struggle together, without seeing color or race. It won't be any time soon though.
Yeah it's been a touchy subject, being white and talking about it doesn't seem to liked. My parents and friends warn me against even bothering.
First 3 lines are amazing
