Once.

C.L.

Once was a time where I mattered.

My voices, opinions, interests were all over, scattered.

Once was a moment when heavenly rays of the sun would warm my skin.

Those days are gone, now but a myth told only to my kin.

Once I had a belief, that one day I will step out of the shadows.

Not knowing the ever growing gloom would envelop myself in sorrows.

Once I had a chance to repel this menacing superpower.

But only to find myself pushed, back turned to the corner.

Once I knowingly pushed back the void.

With all my might and courage I could have deployed.

Once was a time where I had feared oneself.

Only to pack it up and store this burden onto a shelf.
