Just a Little More

Tirzah Juarez

Affixed as a gargoyle to my roof

The morning billows over my shoulder

Reminding me of the pathway preceding

Night arrives hence and I'm a little more older

The hour glass shan't crucify my fervor

I am a barge bound to the open water

Slumbering under a blanket of feces

Makes opening my eyes a little more tauter

Landslides seek to usurp my blanket

The Ocean desires I sleep on his bed

Gaea commands my vessel be feed

Every day that I'm living, I'm a little more dead

Comets are attracted to the heels of my feet

With melting feet I walk miles to kneel

At your step

My mind has been vandalized

For copious years

Take my hand; We'll exist with a little more depth.
