Saudade

Poetic Dan

Miss you more than yesterday
Every second is not the same
Empty feeling just numb inside
Until the moment I look in your eyes

From then till now
I'll be an open shell
Being my own change
No hate, no sadness
Just neutral with love

Singing my heart out
Tapping my toes
Moments flowing by
Right under my nose

Beautiful writing. Saudade, this word is found only on the Portuguese language. I love your poem. Full of feeling of saudades.

Yes it is and when my delightful partner sent me this word over two years ago, she changed my world with her words and her soul.
Really glad you knew of this, thanks for the kind words

Do I ever know where you are coming from! All my kids and grand-kids are in California and I am sitting on this rock here!
        Great writing PD!

That must be difficult my friend, I know you must make every moment of moments count when you see them.

Oh yes, but they are still small and have the attention span of a fish: 3 seconds!
