Dependency

gina~

Our worlds were empty

All we had was ourselves

Yet that was plenty

We were invincible

Nothing could break us

We could reach even the highest pinnacle

I taught you

As you taught me

We almost had a breakthrough

Times got tough

We lost hope

You held me when it got rough

We were pushing each other to stay above the surface

Losing grip

There was nothing but dreadfulness

Our worlds became separate

As we drifted apart

The memories became explicit

As I look back in time

With a new sense of clarity

I see all of your grime

Now that I’m older

Grown and mature

I see that you can be okay in life as a loaner

  • Fay Slimm.

A good example of perceptive rhyming and I love the message ending this verse - - well done Gina.
