Your Eyes

CSS20013

In your eyes I am just a kid.

In your eyes I am a brat.

In your eyes everything I do is wrong.

I try so hard to even get the littlest ounce of your approval,

but you're too cold to warm.

Deep inside I am screaming because of each thing you've said to me is tearing me apart.

Each time I get yelled at is like another piece of my respect for you disappears.

Yes sometimes I may mess up, but even when I try to help you I am pushed away.

The things you told to other people that wasn't their business.

The rumors that spread about my mom and my immediate family.

You may be family yourself but you don't care.

Like you always said, "We are only family by name and blood"

Does that mean nothing to you?

I am wrong, but only in your eyes.

Well that was from the heart great write bthank you.
How many of us have felt that? and disn't have the strength to speak up when it happened?

  • myself and me

Why the people we love hurt us the deepest.

You are not wrong. They are the ones that got lost, they need to be saved. With the challenging life you already in, this is a bigger challenge. May God give you the courage and strength.
    Well done.

Oh man, I've been down this road before. As hard as it may seem, don't let them bring you down. They obviously have been caught up in their own dilemma for many many years and all they know is to unleash their frustrations in your direction. But you are not wrong, they just want you to be wrong instead of the self guilt they feel themselves. Well written piece CSS.
