Say Goodbye

MissileOfUncertainty

The dead are gone,
And the living are hungry.
Our past does not define us.
Nor what we did to stay alive.
Our forever ends in a blink of an eye;
So say goodbye.

Choices fly out the window,
Quicker than time.
Make your decisions while you can.
Because before you known it-
They won't exist.

Compassion is the downfall.
Love follows quickly behind.
But I've come to learn-
That those are the very meaning of life.
So don't say goodbye.

    Very good, thought provoking poem, MoU! Hope you don't say goodbye to us here, we want to read more!

      I have no intention of any permanent goodbyes. I'm pretty busy so I might not get on for a few months at a time, but I'll come back. Thank you!
