Emmarunway

Her mum and her dad got married young.

Her mum had only been with her dad.

Not the same case for the dad.

Had two boys planned and wanted.

Had a girl unplanned felt unwanted.

always tries to win dads affections but falls flat on ears the refuse to listen and eyes that refuse to see.

she becomes a blaze of emotions inside but learns to swallow them like her father,

until she erupts in the most beautiful cascade of fire and brimstone.

Mum's not perfect either.

when a boy touches her and makes her his Eden to play in

while she sweats under the burn of shame in her cheeks as

puberty has only just hit her child's body.

the proterctor of this cub says

"that's just what boys do".

I wonder what's more destructive like a tsunami ripping through your head.

Two parents physically  there for you but that's it.

Or a father that ignores your existence like an unpaid fine to fester

like mine.

When these two girls come together and make their own family all the above becomes irrelevant.

Blood doesn't define love.

You do.
