I am the Darkness

Simple-Man87

I am the sound that drowns all sound

Deafening silence follows my presence

Keeping you weary of those around

Manipulating your mind is my essence

Assistance to it, I claim

But I'm not the source of insanity

Manifest lacerations to maim

Bringer of calamity

I am the emptiness occupying your shell

I am the darkness, that ties you to  fear

Welcoming you to my  hell

So get comfortable, for eternity, you are here.

Great way of expressing that bit of darkness inside each if us. Bravo.

You can trust me (probably) to ruin the 'dark' side of things, with a bit of daftness! lol. Not to ruin poem themselves though.

I took it in the best way possible dear. I am a ruiner of much more than poems, so the light heartedness is welcomed.

Enjoyed the read, dark and threatening.
