graves

ummbree

You dug your grave behind my eyes

Dug your grave in these lies

In one hand you held the key to my heart

In the other,  a dagger

You felt like shelter

You tasted of uncertainty

You were my safety

Until you left me alone

With nothing but these graves in what I thought was ‘home”

You dug but never found what you were looking for

Cut me down to my core

And left me lifeless

Did you find what you were looking for?
