Cast Away

Cast Away

A turbulent sail on a stormy sea

In a humble vessel of my innocence

Searching for shores of soulfulness and love

With a deep knowing of its presence

But no compass to navigate

Drifting without an aim, in the blows of wind.

Battling the fear of condemnation

For being true to my inner being

Feeding beasts of selfishness and anger

Hit by waves and torrents of rain

Holding on to my intrinsic desire

With a hope to find the island of dreams

Wandering across the vastness of the brine

With oars meek to endure the storm

Letting go off the struggle to row

I curl inward to rest my heart

And see I reach calmer waters

Only to find no shore in the sight

Complacent with my exploration

And adventures in the deep ocean

I leave my desires and dreams

And let the paddle float away.

Thanks DIAMOND ~ for another beautiful and haunting Poem ~ straight from your ever searching and beautiful Heart. Metaphorically we are all ships adrift on the Sea of Life & Love. We have sails ~ engines ~ oars to power us and rudders and compasses to guide us ~ BUT (as you say) it i only when we "Let our PADDLE float away" that we can be truly free ! Thanks for caring &sharing ~ LOVED IT ! Oceanic Hugs ~ BRIAN ! Please check my Poem ~ Thanks B.

There're a whole load of us who live your journey
Hoping for dreams to materialize, before we lay down on a gurney
