One Day...

Diamond gal

                          One Day

You've been my life

for years and more

unable to remember

my life before,

Since you have gone,

my heart went too,

Unable to feel,

since I lost you,

I miss you much more,

thanks these words can say,

Still my heart clings on

to the hope that one day,

that you come home,

back here with me

so my heart can return

to how it used to be,

Life without you

Is so empty and glum

you are my best friend

my pal, my chum

I love you much more

than these words can say

and my heart forever clings on

to that hope that "One Day".

Wonderful news, Diamond! You read an ending 'e' onto my name that isn't there, just like so many of my teachers did first day of class, so I'm used to it. No worries!
