Lately

Tirzah Juarez

You love me

Unbearably

Astral contentions to seal thy decree

I know not our fates at the turn of the century

And all is just

Bonny

Except that we're rending apart from the gluing

Infinite longevity to avoid misconstruing

Still reprieve, for he knows not what he's doing

Once upon a hollow plane

I knew thy name

Pariah traveling home disdained

From whence he came

Another sounded on the break

Deaf and inane

The reason I cannot complain

Though a heart at stake

Let us not forget the deadline

Coming to a close

Someone knows

This is the night I come out to clip the rose

And all is just

Diaphanous

Except that I've

Got a pressing tryst

There's a blackhole in the evening sky

Void in the day's eye

Of which I've pondered

Dreamt of the essence that I may

One day wander through

Escaping you.

And in me do you revere

When deficit abrasions derail destiny's gear

I know not of who inhabits here

Except I consider it queer

But I must not pause for thy uncertain rhyme

You've gotten it all wrong again this time

And all is ethereal

Except that I must burn

No ticket to return through

To you

For I forgive he who brings rain

To slay me

Blind in vain

I recede and recline

Though he drains

I remain,

Lately.
